Morning tubs are activities that students can engage in independently at the beginning of the school day to help them settle in and focus. Fine motor mats are included in the download and provide opportunities for students to practice their fine motor skills by using manipulatives like pattern blocks, popsicle sticks, pom-poms, bricks, cubes, dough, and pony beads to create the number 100.

Decodable Readers

To keep things routine while adding a 100th day twist, the article suggests using decodable readers. These readers are designed to help students practice their reading skills while incorporating the theme of the 100th day of school. The readers cover various phonics skills, such as alphabet recognition, CVCCVC words, digraphs, beginning blends, CVCe words, r-controlled vowels, vowel teams, and diphthongs.
