The true cost of vaccine misinformation: A vulnerable nation
23-04-2024 15:00 via ocregister.com
As a health communications researcher specializing in vaccine hesitancy, the last few years in my field have been paradoxical. Vaccinations played a large part in ushering us into the post-pandemic world, yet a “misinfodemic” against vaccines persists. As of August 2023, about 73% of Californians have received the initial series of COVI

Kings can’t overcome slow start in Game1 loss to Oilers
23-04-2024 07:33 via ocregister.com
EDMONTON, Alberta — The Kings tend to beat teams with their blue-collar effort. It’s been their identity for more than a decade, and it’s what made them successful.
But in Game1 of their Western Conference first-round series against the Edmonton Oilers on Monday night, that blue-collar identity was nowhere to be seen and the Kings paid a big price, losing the opener of the best-of-seven series, 7-4.
Zach Hyman recorded a hat trick, and Adam Henrique, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins a

Last week against the Tampa Bay Rays, Rengifo failed to come up with a backhand play that could have been the final out of an Angels victory, and they ended up losing in 13 innings. That was a tough play that might not have been an out even if Rengifo had played it perfectly, but it was no
