India’s first and only Kawasaki Ninja H2R delivered (2024)
India Kawasaki Motors has delivered the country’s one and only Ninja H2R, the most powerful production motorcycle in the world, to its customer on 3 March 2019. The Kawasaki Ninja H2R is the first four-stroke, supercharged motorcycle from a major manufacturer. For 2019, the Ninja H2R benefits from updates that include Brembo’s new Stylema monobloc callipers, the new “Supercharged” emblem and Kawasaki’s Highly Durable paint.Costing INR 72 lakh (ex-showroom), the Kawasaki Ninja H2R is one of the priciest motorcycles of India.
The motorcycle also gets the Kawasaki River Mark. It has been a long-time symbol of the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Group dating back to the 1870s. As a policy, it is used on products that are rare and limited to models with historical significance.
Speaking on the rousing occasion, Naoki Matsumoto, Managing Director – India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd. said:
We are indeed happy to deliver our flagship model, the Ninja H2R, in India. Kawasaki has stunned the world with this model. The Ninja H2R is the world’s supercharged hypersport motorcycle and to deliver one unit in India is certainly a proud moment for Kawasaki India.
The Ninja H2R is designed to be used on the racetrack only and thus you would not see the motorcycle on public roads. There are several units of the street-legal version of the supercharged motorcycle, the Ninja H2. The in-house-designed engine features a motorcycle-specific supercharger that provides the H2R with colossal power and acceleration." The supercharger’s efficiency and minimal heat gain meant that an intercooler was unnecessary, which also helped shed weight and space.
The Kawasaki Ninja H2R's supercharged 998 cc in-line four-cylinder engine with Ram Air delivers a jaw-dropping 326 PS of maximum power at 14,000 rpm and 165 Nm of peak torque at 12,500 rpm. Taming the power output is a comprehensive electronic rider-aid package that includes:

Holding the merit of being the fastest production motorcycle in the world, Kawasaki India delivered a single unit of the Ninja H2R in India yesterday. And we say single unit because; the company runs a limited production for the motorcycle for each year, out of which only one was allotted to India for 2019.
Kawasaki H2R is an illegal bike in India because it does not meet the emission norms set by the Indian government. India has strict emission norms for two-wheelers, and the Kawasaki H2R does not comply with them. Therefore, it cannot be registered or ridden on Indian roads.
A man in Pune has bought one and it will be the only one for 2019 since Kawi builds these in limited numbers. Owning a Kawasaki Ninja H2R is nothing like owning a regular motorcycle. There's a great degree of responsibility.
The Ninja H2R is priced at Rs 72 Lakh (ex-showroom) in India and the bookings were opened last year. This the only unit sold so far in India. The in-house-designed engine has highly efficient, motorcycle-specific supercharger which is the key to achieve maximum power and the intense acceleration.
Still, they were extremely powerful for the Indians. The RD350 was available in two versions. The High Torque(HT) version producing a maximum of 31 Bhp and 27 Bhp in the Low Torque (LT) version.
Kawasaki Ninja H2 is a 998cc super bike. Kawasaki Ninja H2 is priced at Rs.79.90 Lakh onwards. It is available in Mirror Coated Matte Spark Black colour only and is offered in a single variant.
Only five units of Kawasaki Ninja H2 have been allocated in India as it is a limited production model. Interestingly, the Japanese bike maker did not reveal who was the first owner of Kawasaki Ninja H2.
Is the Kawasaki Ninja H2R bike legal in India? It is not legal to ride the Kawasaki Ninja H2R bike on the public roads in India due to its powerful engine. However, the bike is meant for an exhilarating ride on a racetrack.
Only the heavily modified, 1,350-horsepower SPE Nissan GT-R proved to be worthy of the out-of-the-crate Ninja H2R, catching and passing the superbike at the . 75-mile marker of the one-mile run. I would give anything to ride shotgun in that thing.
