Introducing the CAT9 and CAT9 CONNECT (2024)

The CAT9 and CAT9 Connect are the most advanced bats in the Marucci lineup to date. We created a more responsive aluminum microstructure for better feel, more forgiveness and more performance, while maintaining the strength of its predecessor.

Here at Marucci, we are fueled by technology, and we continuously strive to deliver the best products to the best athletes. Since the beginning we have delivered the hardest hitting bats available, and with the CAT9 and CAT9 Connect, we continue that legacy.

Let’s take a deeper look at both theCAT9 andCAT9 Connect.

CAT9

Introducing the CAT9 and CAT9 CONNECT (1)

The CAT9 is the most advanced one-piece aluminum bat on the market. It is a precision balanced, one-piece alloy design with a medium M.O.I. For athletes who favor a mid-balanced metal bat, the CAT9 is the right choice. Both power-hitters and contact-hitters will enjoy the feel and performance of the CAT9.

Designed with a thermally treated AZR alloy for a more responsive and forgiving feel, the balanced one-piece CAT9 features a massive sweet spot that is ready to damage right out of the wrapper. No break in necessary.

The one-piece CAT9 is available in five sizes:BBCOR certified -3 and USSSA certified-5,-8,-10andJunior Big Barrel -10.

CAT9 CONNECT

The CAT9 Connect features a more end-loaded feel for athletes that thrive on driving the ball further. Utilizing the same three-stage thermally treated aluminum process as the CAT9, you can expect our most responsive barrel yet. Athletes who strive to produce power will love the CAT9 Connect.

Further, the CAT9 Connect introduces the first-of-its-kind OLS Connection. This brand-new technology connects the aluminum barrel to the carbon composite handle from the outside in. The previous CAT8 Connect featured our SDX EXT Connection, and with the CAT9, we built advancements to make our two-piece even better for a stiffer feel and smoother swing.

The CAT9 Connect is available in four sizes:BBCOR certified -3 and USSSA certified-5,-8 and-10.

We fabricated a piece of metal into a finely-tuned tool for today’s elite player. Using our proprietary, complex thermal treatments, we created a more responsive aluminum microstructure for better feel, more forgiveness and more performance, while maintaining the strength of its predecessor. On the end-loaded CAT9 Connect, we upgraded to an Outer-Locking System for a stiffer connection, while dismissing virtually all vibrations on contact.

As always, there are no artificial rings, “dead” spots or compromises. It’s not the easy way, it’s the Marucci way. There are no shortcuts or easy routes, and with the CAT9, we crafted excellence.
